Overall Summary at Electric Systems
My experience is across the entire life cycle of requirement based development for DAL Level A software starting from system requirements and ending in software certification. My career started at United Technologies Aerospace Systems (UTAS) developing new advanced methods of software implementation including Configurable Table Driven Software (also known as Programmable Data Item (PDI)) and Model Generated Code with adherence to DO-178C. In addition to my software experience, at UTAS, I supported the System Engineering teams with various developments; trouble shooting, integration, and lab testing. I also gained experience with ARP-4754, model base design and development, and requirement validation through simulation.
From conceptual design to deployment on an aircraft, I have been a key member of the software team responsible for developing the UTAS Advanced Data Programming UaDAP® embedded software and process that are in use on multiple Programs at UTAS. UaDAP was demonstrated to reduce Non-Recoverable Engineering (NRE) costs by 50-90% using configurable utilities, while reducing certification expenditures through a single, one-time certified software engine that interfaces with the embedded controllers.

My General Experience:
- Assisted the Discipline Chiefs of our department in updating and maintaining our department standard processes and procedures.
- Trained new hires and coops on our department policies, processes and procedures; and mentored them technically on the systems they are working on (Secondary Power Distribution Unit, Generator Control Unit).
- Led a kaizen event for the software department targeted at restructuring and streamlining the new hire onboarding process which engaged new employees faster and reduced administrative delays.
My Travel Experience:
- Represented the UTAS System Engineering Team to a four-day joint integration event between Embraer, UTAS and Honeywell in Phoenix to test out my implementation of the interactive test and other functionalities; the integration event was a success.
- Selected by the UTAS Program Management Team to attend a three-month on-site assignment at Embraer in Sao Jose Dos Campos, SP, Brazil; starting April 2017 to end of June. Responsibilities of the assignment included customer onsite support, debugging primary and secondary system integration issues on Flight Test Vehicles and their integration lab, as well as managing customer needs and expectations.

My Experience:
UaDAP:
UaDAP:
- Role: Technical Lead and Primary Software Developer of the UaDAP flight software.
- Designed and developed the software with adherence to DO-178C for a Level A software, and the Electric Systems Software Department processes and procedures.
- Reviewed and approved all delta technical changes being performed, and coordinate the implementation of these changes with my team members.
- Participated in drafting the UaDAP advanced development process and in developing of all the UaDAP Tools.
- Handled customer interface by resolving technical issues, managing expectations, and advising on complex technical solutions to achieve desired outcomes.
- Collaborated with the System Engineering Team to implement interactive test functionality and a time-based communication protocol between the secondary power distribution unit and Honeywell’s central maintenance computer utilizing Matlab/Simulink modeling and UaDAP Process.
- Assumed the role of a technical focal point to the System and Software Engineering Teams when troubleshooting complicated integration issues among the numerous sub-systems.
- Created and coordinated multidisciplinary changes between the system, software and hardware disciplines to achieve cost effective resolutions for defects or limitations on the secondary power distribution unit.
